After the visit, I realised
that a small compliment can mean a lot to others, especially
for the elderly.
What they really needed was attention and a feeling of being
cared and involved.
We hoped to give the elderly satisfaction through
encouraging them to sing along and engage in the activities,
and turned out, we felt contented as well. Seeing them smile
because of a simple compliment made me understand the aim of
the visit---spreading joy and positivity to the elderly.
Perhaps, this is exactly "life affecting life"
